MERRICK & ASSOCIATES, LLC (the “Firm”) was founded in the Denver
Tech Center in January of 2006 by Glenn W. Merrick, a highly respected
trial and insolvency lawyer who had spent more than twenty-five years
practicing in large and prestigious law firms in downtown Denver. The
Firm was formed to provide superb corporate, real estate, litigation and
insolvency representation to an impressive range of clients – small, medium

transactional side of the practice, our lawyers have served as lead counsel

present day commerce (including entity selection, formation, governance,
financing, operational issues, acquisitions, leasing, divestitures and tax

the commercial landscape of the Western United States. These include

litigation side of the practice, our lawyers have served as lead trial
counsel in litigation that has resulted in very substantial verdicts and
judgments (many tens of millions of dollars), both in state and federal
court. We have also triumphed as lead trial counsel in trials on
behalf of clients facing tens of millions of dollars in liabilities.
Finally, we have represented clients in very significant appeals in both
the federal and state court systems which resulted in highly favorable
outcomes. Our litigation experience includes claims for fraud and

On the
reorganization/workout side of the practice, our lawyers have posted
remarkable results. Over the past several years, we have served as
lead counsel in numerous successful reorganizations of business enterprises
in natural resources, finance, real estate development, communications and
medical products (e.g. Redstone
Resources, Inc., D.E. Frey Group, Inc., Peoples Wireless, Inc. and U.S.
Orthopedic Corp.). And our lawyers have successfully represented
money center banks, asset based lenders, institutional lenders, real estate
and equipment lessors, Creditors’ Committees, trade creditors and acquiring
parties. Of a less public nature, the Firm has been highly successful
in achieving out-of-court workouts that have reorganized substantial
business concerns (natural resources, construction, technology and
manufacturing businesses) without the cost, burden and publicity of highly
visible judicial reorganization and insolvency proceedings.
